Yoga
Flow combines breath and movement to create a
continuous flow from posture to posture to strengthen and stretch,
building a strong foundation for our more advanced flow classes.
It is both invigorating and peaceful, suitable for active beginners.
Yin
Yoga Flow begins with long held Yin postures which work
wonders for flexibility, focusing on lengthening connective
tissue and opening the joints of the hips and spine. The
class then moves into an invigorating flow, promoting circulation
and mood elevation.
Yin-Yang
Yoga Fusion is about balancing effort with ease. A well-rounded yoga practice is balanced by combining the Yang active aspect of our nature with our receptive Yin qualities, creating a deep integrated practice.
Starting with pranayama (breath) and leading into Yang we will explore energizing and heat-building vinyasas (inspired by Vinyasa/Ashtanga yoga). We will then slip into Yin by exploring long slow holds (inspired by Hatha/Restorative yoga), releasing connective tissue, opening the joints and enhancing energy flow and distribution within the body. This class will have you sweating and relaxing. Experience the balance of both!
Abs Yoga is Hatha Yoga with a focus on developing core strength.
A strong core is essential to every single asana in yoga, regardless of what type of yoga you are practicing. Abs Yoga utilizes hatha poses and exercises which lengthen and strengthen the abdominal muscles. Ab work in yoga is done slowly and deliberately, avoiding sudden jerky movements which can cause injury. The instructor will assessyour strength and recommend suitable variations. When you are ready, you can try the next progression, or hold longer, or do more repetitions. Strengthen your abdominal muscles and improve posture, digest food better, alleviate back strain, and feel strong!

Yin Yoga is a gentle, slow-moving practice that creates strength and flexibility by lengthening the connective tissue of the body. Connective tissue, also called fascia, is found everywhere in the body and is one of the most difficult tissues to stretch due to its plastic nature. However, supple fascia is vital to good health and general muscular condition. Yin Yoga is an excellent complement to all styles of yoga, and all physical activities or sports. People with tight hip flexors, hamstrings and who have lower back aches will benefit greatly from yin yoga because it will bring space and openness to these tight areas.

Ba Gua for Yogis:
Bagua, a Chinese practice with a long tradition and deep philosophical roots, has many similarities to Yoga:
- It’s focus, like Yoga, is to evolve and unify the mind, body and spirit
- There are postures and sets of movements that function like Vinyasas – these are practiced by holding the postures and moving from one to the other slowly and mindfully (similar to Yoga Flow), and then gradually faster and more fluidly
- The movements stretch, lengthen and open the body and breath and focus the mind
Bagua, has its own very unique and dynamic practice called ‘circle walking’ which is done in a large group, pairs or individually; moving through beautiful spiraling and circling movements whilst walking in a circle. You will be amazed at how much coordination and grace it develops in your body and wisdom in your feet.
The word ‘Bagua’ means ‘eight trigrams’ - a key concept in ancient Chinese philosophy. The eight Trigrams represent the ever-changing nature of the universe and the practice of Bagua trains body and mind to be flexible and adaptable to change. Bagua can also be used as a martial art but this will not be the focus in this course.
Suitable for people who have at least a basic foundation in Yoga.
