Feb 13–23, 2027 (Ten days)
Join Isabelle and April for a deep dive into the practices that bring yoga’s wisdom alive within—asana, pranayama, mantra, and meditation—supercharged by yatra (a sacred journey) to the holy mountain of Arunachala, recognized and worshipped as a literal incarnation of Shiva for thousands of years.
Our South India adventure begins in Tiruvannamalai, India in a beautiful village ashram. Enriching morning practices and workshops, visits to holy caves, temples and ashrams, pujas (ceremonies), parayana (recitation of sacred texts), and satsang (meetings with realized beings) will be balanced with time for quiet reflection, meditation, walks, and relaxed togetherness. We will also make a day trip to a very special Shiva Water Temple a few hours away. You’ll be supported by the quiet, heavenly atmosphere of a small countryside ashram and nourished by fresh, delicious, vegetarian meals prepared by the ashram staff, who are like family to us.
We will be there for a full moon night (Poornima), a night when millions of people travel to Tiruvannamalai to circumambulate Arunachala, as a form of worship and to ask for blessings. You will have the option to participate – and we will also have an opportunity to engage in this practice on a much quieter morning as well.
For those doing both retreats, there will be a group travel day with a domestic flight to north India, to the yoga capital of the world and the home of Yogrishi Vishvketu: Rishikesh!

Feb 23 – Mar 8, 2027 (Thirteen nights)
Next, we’ll travel by bus one hour north to experience the beauty and wonder of Yogrishi Vishvketu’s new Jungle Ashram. Set in a gorgeous natural landscape at the confluence of two mountain rivers, the jungle ashram offers a taste of yoga’s ancient lineage, with a balance of deeper meditative practices along with holistic yoga, workshops, and daily fire puja ceremonies. Afternoons will be open for dipping in the river, resting, and exploring the stunning surroundings or enjoying an afternoon yoga practice. We’ll be there during the Akhanda Yoga Festival to enjoy plenty of time with Vishvaji, the beloved mentor of many of Prana’s teachers.

Yoga’s wisdom and blessings are deeply embedded in India’s land, water, history, languages, cultures, and peoples. While yoga’s depth and dimensionality can certainly be discovered within, making a pilgrimage to its place of origin offers a life-changing opportunity to deepen your relationship with it—making your understanding more direct and embodied.

April Cantafio E-RYT 500. The essence of yoga first infused my life in the year of 2000 as I unknowingly walked into the depth of what would be a completely new landscape, led by such humble and wise guides that naturally the practice unfolded before my eyes. From that point on it never left my sight for long and little did I know that it would forever change the way the world appeared through my eyes. I began the path of teaching in 2004 in the form of mentorship with my original teachers Deb and Lacie Cosgrove, and somehow that led me to puruse other trainings both locally and internationally in various styles and schools of thought ranging from Ashtanga to Akhanda to Kundalini. This helped me form a new perspective with which to observe, witness, see. The foundation that was laid in that time eventually led me to sincerely study the wisdom held in Ayurveda, Sanskrit, Mantra, Meditation and the traditional philosophies that form the umbrella of Yoga while under the guidance of my dear teacher, Yogi Baba Prem and the lineage of Mahavatar Baba-ji. In 2016 I was more than humbled to receive the traditional title of Yogakovid. I approach my practice and teaching with an innate intention to support the elevation of consciousness. With every practice emphasizing a balance of effort and ease, the embrace of self and collective compassion, and the importance of the foundational breath. I appreciate and always bow in gratitude to the facets of studentship that so many of us share together. The light in me honours the light in you.

LEALA ENFIELD E-RYT 500 has been devoted to the path of yoga and embodied movement for over 30 years. Her journey began on the remote side of Maui, where she fell in love with practicing yoga in wild nature and exploring the freedom of movement, dance, and intuitive expression.
Her passion for feminine wisdom and community led her to complete Women’s Group Facilitator Training with the Awakening Women’s Institute in 2008, and to attend the Yogini Summer Ashram in Corfu, Greece in 2010 and 2025.
After moving to Canada, Leala met Yogrishi Vishvketu, beginning her deeper studies in Akhanda Yoga. In 2006 she founded Prana Yoga Studio, which has grown into a thriving urban yoga community and a respected center for Akhanda Yoga teachings for over twenty years.
Alongside running a busy studio, Leala has raised a family, guided international yoga retreats, and taught numerous Yoga Teacher Trainings in both Canada and India.
Her work today weaves together yoga, feminine practices, somatic awareness, and group synergy to create spaces where authentic expression, connection, and transformation can unfold.
