Sun Salutations (Suryanamaskarasana) are the foundation of “Flow” or “Vinyasa” classes. The Sun Salutations prepare us for deeper practice and it is essential to find the best alignment for our body in each pose and through each transition to receive all the benefits. And there are so many!

This workshop is for anyone who practices sun salutations regularly and wants to refine their practice and prevent injuries, as well as for those who are new to yoga.
All levels are welcome! In the workshop we will:
Explore the 3 variations of Sun Salutations most commonly used in flow and vinyasa classes.
Find your “sweetest” alignment in each of the postures of the sequence.
Modify and enhance the postures to take your practice to the next level, even if you are struggling with physical issues, such as low back pain.
Experience the effortlessness that embodies the flow of sunshine energy through the body/mind.
Denise Currie is an Experienced Adult Educator and Yoga teacher Trainer. Her areas of study include anatomy and physiology, Holistic Yoga, Remedial Movement, manual therapy and Mind/Body Sciences. Her purpose in offering alignment workshops is to teach students how to:
