December 13-15, 2024
Level 2 Breathwork Facilitator Training at Prana Yoga Studio is both a living conversation and a transformational journey for self and in support of others. As a group, we collectively source knowledge, experience, and wisdom as we creatively color between the lines of academic learnings. Our primary focus will be on developing and sustaining a healthy, effective therapeutic relationship within which breathwork may be safely delivered. We will also continue developing a selection of resources that can be implemented in support of the client’s optimal self-regulation whether it is within their daily lives or while they are participating in breathwork journeys.
You will both receive and provide three breathwork sessions with fellow students to develop the practical skill sets required to safely facilitate transformational sessions incorporating breathwork.
In this training, you will learn:

“Trevor has helped me to understand where I hold pain and trauma and to recognize the signs when I should be taking care of myself. It is the most amazing approach to lifting the weight of this pain we carry and transmute it into something lighter and more manageable. I adore this practice and it has helped me through very difficult times.”
– Deanne N, Calgary
“This has been truly transformational on both personal and professional levels. I have a whole new awareness of what our body holds on to as we navigate our lives and how to trust the body’s innate healing wisdom to move towards wellness. It has changed my life personally in the most profound ways and working in this way with clients has helped me facilitate positive changes for them as well. I would recommend Trevor without a doubt.”
– Sharon S, Calgary
What truly matters is at the heart of our work – with ourselves and with our clients. It’s expressed through an integral therapeutic relationship and a curiosity-inspired therapeutic process that is safe-enough to support our fellow human beings in their navigation back to what truly matters for them. This is where we begin our journey together as we take an experiential dive into the powerful therapeutic modality of Conscious Connected Breathwork.

Firekeeping is a common ceremonial role across many of the world’s cultures. The sacred fire is a central element in many ceremonies and is often the transmuter of offerings, including our intentions and prayers. There is a sacred fire inside each of us. When you experience someone vibrantly alive and deeply on purpose, you know it; they’re on fire and the light radiates through their eyes. Conversely, someone depressed or feeling hopeless may be experienced with dimmed eyes and an absence of fire and drive. As Firekeepers, we tend to these internal, sacred fires – in ourselves and in others. When the light is dimmed in another, we serve as humble, fellow human beings with keen senses that can spot the faintest glows in the embers of our hearts, minds, and souls. We gather intentionally with hope, care, love, and respect around the embers and work together to rekindle our sacred fires. Together, we remember what truly matters.

I began questioning conventional beliefs as a child and started exploring the nature of reality around 14 years of age. I went on to voraciously explore and study a wide array of body-mind practices and healing arts over the past 27 years. During this period, I went through approximately seven years of what some might refer to as a dark night of the soul culminating in a 16-month hermitage aimed at waking up.
The richness of these studies, the gamut of my life experiences, and a deep curiosity about reality, perception, and the seamlessly inter-connected mechanisms of mind and body have led to an increasingly integrated approach to healing work.
In addition to my therapeutic work, I taught Yoga for 15 years, co-developed and co-facilitated numerous 200-hour yoga teacher trainings for both Trinity Yoga and Gaiatri Yoga, and in recent years developed and facilitated Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator trainings and Nūma Somatics Facilitator trainings. I have had the blessing of sharing these trainings and related workshops all across Canada as well as leading yoga retreats in Canada, Costa Rica, and Peru.
I have a 3-year Diploma in Acupuncture and three years of training in Somatic Experiencing. Additionally, I’ve trained in extensively in numerous styles of Conscious Connected Breathwork, Bodynamics Somatic Psychotherapy and Hakomi Body-Centered Psychotherapy. IFS (Internal Family Systems) also strongly influences how I work with clients.
Other trainings and certificates I hold include Chi Nei Tsang (Visceral/Abdominal Massage), Acutonics® Vibrational Healing, Thai Massage, numerous personal development and spiritual growth group processes, North American and Peruvian Shamanism, and a wide range of personal practices including Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qigong, Hatha Yoga, Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, Vipassana and other forms of meditation, Contact Improvisation, and Continuum Movement.
