Updated October 24, 2021
We are overjoyed to be open for classes at a comfortable socially distanced spacing of 6 feet between mats. As per the Government of Alberta, masks are required in indoor spaces as of September 16, 2021. Masks are to be worn in all common spaces. Masks are not to be worn once you arrive on your mat.
Prana Yoga Studio has opted to participate in the Restriction Exemption Program that comes into effect September 20, 2021.
We want to make sure that we are remaining open to support students long term. This past 18 months has seen ups and downs, opens and closes, shutdowns, lockdowns, and more. We have ridden each wave with each of you – sometimes scrambling to ensure staff and students are cared for, and other times executing requirements with the grace of experience. Through it all, you, our students, have been at the forefront of our minds and we could not have done it without you.
What does the Restriction Exemption Program mean?
In accordance with the Government of Alberta, we require proof of vaccination prior to entering classes. This can be in the form of proof from pharmacies, doctors, or immunization clinics.
The details:
Effective October 25:
Know that COVD tests are at the expense of individuals and not the responsibility of the studio. The studio will not have rapid tests on hand.
We know that this may not be the outcome you had hoped for; we as a studio will be following the new guidelines in order to remain open. As we navigate this new chapter we ask that you are kind and respectful to staff, teachers, and other students. Please adhere to the guidelines outlined above as we will unfortunately have to turn you away if they are not met. If you have any questions, concerns, or if we can support you in any way during this transition please reach out.
In studio, we continue to implement stringent guidelines and cleaning protocols for our teachers and staff to follow, and there are guidelines for our students as well. Please read all details below so we can work together to ensure the health, safety and enjoyment of you and our entire team.

From our opening last summer:
“I had the chance to go to a wonderful class last night at the studio. Beforehand, I was a bit nervous about attending a public indoor class but after seeing the work you guys are putting into the distancing and sanitization of the studio, I can say that my worry disappeared. It is so good to feel the energy of the people at the studio and the live voice of the instructor. It filled me up and relaxed my mind. Thank you so much. Can’t wait for the next class. ❤️ “ – Russell
