    Many yoga lineages were classically taught and practiced by men. In the West, women represent the largest population of yoga practitioners, yet many styles short change the lunar aspects of yoga. In this three week series, we’ll explore how to attune our practice with feminine flow, cycles of the moon, and stages of life from menarche to menopause. In each class we’ll weave the women’s wisdom path into yoga, breath, and relaxation practices.


    We’ll learn how to ground the lower body, strengthen and relax the pelvic core muscles, how to flow from the innermost, and how to find deep rest. Themes of self nurture and devotion will be interwoven as a pathway to the deepest heart within active practice. We’ll cover the role of oxytocin, dopamine and endorphins in harmonizing the nervous system in the midst of our busy western lifestyles. Compassion meditation, restorative postures, sound healing and unconditioned authentic movement will all be explored.
