Yoga for Healthy Aging with Chair

    Tuesdays, 6-7pm | November 19th – December 10th

     

    In this series you will explore gentle movements seated in a chair as well as standing with the support of the chair. The chair is viewed as a prop, or an assistive device as opposed to a crutch.

     

    The yoga postures will focus on building strength, body awareness, coordination, improved flexibility and balance. A sense of safety will be emphasized, and you will not be required to come down to the floor.

     

    The mind/body connection will be explored through relaxation techniques, breathing and meditation.
