Both Mystical and Simple. Yoga Nidra is a state of consciousness naturally touched by every human being as we move towards sleep, where both inner and outer worlds are illuminated . In a state between awake and asleep unfolds the potential for the conscious directing force of awareness to turn in upon the deeper realms of the subconscious. The Practice of Yoga Nidra is simply one of remaining awake as the state is illuminated. Practitioners are guided to comb through layers of perception that shape our reality, bringing awareness to what may once have seemed Mystical or dormant. Yoga Nidra brings practitioners into the field of the unchanging, unwavering Truth behind all of creation, aligning to our true nature.
There are many side effects of Expanding Awareness such as, yet not limited to the following.

The whole world of yoga was an unexpected surprise in my life. I stumbled upon it, as many do, seemingly by accident and it called to me. Something mysterious woke up in me as I began to practice. I could feel my heart. I could feel parts of my body that I had never felt before. Eventually the Yogic teachings led me to see universal truths that exist beyond the confines of any practice or structure including the yogic traditions. We are all able to find great ease or stillness in an instant. We are able to listen to higher minds and make different choices. We able able to enjoy, nourish and love being in our bodies as we explore their limits in movement and stillness.
With a dance of meeting structured tradition and the ever unfolding unknown, my practice and classes are living. I believe we are holding many great polarities in balance and my classes reflect such expressions. Effort and ease. Action & stillness. Depth & playfulness. Known & unknown.
I began practicing ashtanga yoga in 2004. In 2012, I fell in love with Prana Yoga Studio and began formal training there. I have studied with several other schools and traditions and am formally educated in Akhanda Yoga, Gayatri Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Katonah Yoga, Bihar Yoga and others.
In 2015, I again, unexpectedly fell in love with Yoga Nidra. I began teaching and learning as much as I could and spent hundreds of hours studying and mentoring in the art of Yoga Nidra through the School of Sankalpa. The pull of deeper knowledge created a divergence from formal mentorship as I began to learn and listen to everyone and everything who spoke or had the freqency of answer or the presence of embodiment that I was looking for.
I have run several 200hr Yoga Teacher Trainings under my School Anahata Rising as well as 50hr Yoga Nidra Trainings which I continue to run annually. And run local and international retreats.
I am ever in awe of what is unfolding in this life and welcome anyone who is pulled to walk with me in this great adventure.
